A brilliant launch put Rad Ripper in a winning position in the Tabtouch Same Race Multi Grade 4/5 over 400m at Greyhounds WA Mandurah last Friday night.

The talented young chaser from Corey White’s kennels started his career with a bang with five wins from his first six starts but had missed out at his next three attempts.

Rad Ripper was back to his best on Friday with a dominant front-running performance.

He fired straight to the lead from box five and didn’t give his opposition a look in as he surged away to a huge advantage before charging across the finish line to score eight lengths ahead of the runner-up Burnt Passion in a very quick 22.29.

Earlier in the evening, Hong Kong Phooey was back in the winner’s circle in the 400m Free For All.

The winner of Chase final two weeks prior, Hong Kong Phooey used box one to full benefit to push up on the inside before wresting the lead as they approached the turn.

Hong Kong Phooey then did enough to the reach the front before hitting the line a length ahead of Gold Smirch in 22.59.
