Perth Glory are set to announce they have snared English defender Mark Beevers from Peterborough United.

Beevers had two years left on his deal but the 32-year-old and the club, nicknamed The Posh, have agreed to mutually terminate the contract.

Beevers is now a free agent and has been strongly linked to the Glory as they continue their rebuild after finishing with the wooden spoon last season.

Beevers will bring much needed experience to the new look-side and, at 193cm, plenty of size.

He has also played for Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall, MK Dons and Bolton Wanderers.

In his three-year stint with Peterborough Beevers made 101 appearances and helped them win promotion to the Championship as club captain in the 2020-21 season.
