Optus Stadium has revealed its collection of new food and beer options for this year’s footy season.

The menu was revealed on Tuesday as the Fremantle Dockers prepare to face the Brisbane Lions in the first home game of the season on Sunday.

Among the items on offer this year includes chorizo quesadillas, bratwurst hot dogs, katsu chicken rice bowls and loaded potato skins.

Gage Roads’ new low-carb lager, Air Time, will also be on tap for the season opener.

Optus Stadium expects to serve 12,000 hot chips each AFL match this year — equating to 250,000 serves for the entire season.

Footy fans will also devour 4500 Mrs Macs pies and sausage rolls each game and 4000 hot dogs and burgers.

Three hundred kegs of Gage Roads beer will be poured each game, along with 6000 glasses of wine, 2500 coffees and 10,000 bottles of water.

THE MENU:

Chorizo Quesadilla, $16.50

The quesadillas contain grilled tortillas, crumbed chorizo, jalapenos, cheese, red onions, sour cream and guacamole.

The German Dog, $15.20

The German Dog consists of a bratwurst sausage, spring onions and potato salad.

Katsu Chicken Rice Bowl, $16

The katsu chicken rice bowl contains crumbed chicken, Japanese mayonnaise, rice, salad and katsu sauce.

Loaded potato skins, $15.50

The loaded potato skins include bacon and cheese, potato skins with sour cream and chive sauce.

According to the stadium, 6000 Matso’s ginger beer cans will be sold by the end of the 2024 season.

More than 3000 casual staff are on the books to help with events at Optus Stadium — with around 1300 people rostered on to help permanent staff every AFL match.
