Hugo Gaston saved four match points to beat fourth-seed Cristian Garin and reach his first ATP Tour semi-final at the Swiss Open.

The French 20-year-old was down a break on two occasions in the final set before winning 6-4 1-6 7-6 (13-11).

Gaston, the world No.155, will face Laslo Djere for a place in the final after the Serbian seventh seed saw off Arthur Rinderknech 6-4 6-7 (7-5) 6-4.

Casper Ruud progressed to the last four with a 6-2 5-7 6-3 victory over Benoit Paire. He faces Czech qualifier Vit Kopriva, who advanced with a 6-1 6-0 victory against Mikael Ymer.

At the Croatia Open, Richard Gasquet rolled back the years as he progressed to his first ATP Tour semi-final of the season with a straight-sets win against Damir Dzumhur.

The 35-year-old, who becomes the second oldest finalist in the tournament's three-decade history, closed out the match in one hour and 51 minutes with a 6-3 7-6 (9-7) triumph.

Gasquet faces Daniel Altmaier in the last four after the German qualifier came through 6-2 6-4 against Dusan Lajovic.

Top seed Albert Ramos-Vinolas saw off Stefano Travaglia 6-2 6-1 in just 68 minutes to set up a semi-final clash against Carlos Alcaraz, a 7-6 (7-3) 2-6 6-1 winner over Filip Krajinovic.
