West Coast’s WAFL pain could become excruciating on the same day that crosstown rivals Fremantle boost alignment side Peel Thunder with more than a dozen players.

The Eagles have named just two AFL-listed players - ruckman Luke Strnadica and midfielder Zane Trew - to take on West Perth in Joondalup on Saturday.

AFL emergencies Rhett Bazzo and Brady Hough have travelled to Sydney, leaving fellow draftee Jack Williams as the only Eagle a chance to be a late inclusion.

Under WAFL rules, the Eagles are required to name at least three AFL-listed players or their game can be postponed.

It is understood an agreement between the club and WA Football Commission has allowed the match to go forward.

The Falcons have named an unchanged line-up for the first time this season and will be for a percentage booster against the struggling Eagles, who were thumped by 123-points at the hands of East Fremantle last weekend.

Further south, the Thunder will have at least 13 Dockers-listed players at their disposal for their clash against 2021 grand finalists South Fremantle at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.

Jye Amiss, Joel Hamling, Liam Henry, Matt Johnson, Lloyd Meek, Josh Treacy and Darcy Tucker all come into the side and Peel could get one more should Fremantle release either one of their emergencies in Neil Erasmus or Brandon Walker.

South Fremantle have regained star midfielder Jake Florenca, who missed their loss to West Perth a fortnight ago after being called up by West Coast.

Florenca’s joined by fellow mid-season draft hopeful Zac Strom and forward Steven Verrier, but they’ve lost key trio Dylan Main (bicep), Nick Suban (hamstring) and Aiden Hall (knee) to injury.

Perth have welcomed back former Fremantle and Collingwood forward Chris Mayne for their contest against ladder-leaders East Fremantle.

The Shark regained State players Cam Eardley and captain Matthew Jupp as well as ruckman Jeremy Goddard, but forward Jono Marsh is unavailable because of COVID-19.

Claremont have made seven changes for their game against East Perth at Revo Fitness Stadium, with co-captain Jared Hardisty to play his first league game of 2022.

Forward Timm House is out with a hamstring injury, while Oliver Sheldrick, Isaac Barton and Jacob Blight have all been dropped.

East Perth have lost captain Jackson Ramsay and forward Thomas Edwards-Baldwin to COVID-19, while Shayne Hille will have to wait to play his 100th game after reinjuring his hamstring.

Swan Districts have recalled Josh Cipro and Ryan Kemp to take on Subiaco in Kalgoorlie, with Elijah Hewett (national academy) and Nathan Ireland (finger) not making the trip.
