THE WEST AUSTRALIAN’S ELIZA REILLY SAYS: Described by those who know her as the “best player to never have never been drafted,” Wong’s resume is one of the most impressive in the league. Finishing runner-up in the 2021 Dhara Kerr Medal Count, Wong won three straight club best and fairests and has also played a part in four Sharks’ premierships. But no AFLW club has taken a chance on her, despite many believing she could have an instant impact at any club. Wong’s height and kicking are the biggest worries for AFLW clubs but a developing team could do worse than give the veteran a deserved crack.
