Strength, humility, and unwavering determination.
Those were the qualities that Neale Daniher showed in an inspiring life, and they were on the minds of Eagles fans during an emotional moment’s silence in the lead-up to Sunday’s clash at Optus Stadium.
The former West Coast football manager was remembered as players from both the WA club and Essendon lined up pre-game, with the crowd acknowledging his tremendous legacy through the Fight MND Foundation.

Daniher passed away last week at age 65 after inspiring the nation with his courageous stance while battling what he termed ‘The Beast’ – Motor Neurone Disease.
“Neale Daniher has shown us what it truly means to fight with hope, with heart, and never give up,” West Coast’s match-day MC Karl Langdon said.

Plenty of fans braved Perth’s wild weather conditions wearing Big Freeze beanies ahead of next week’s annual event at the MCG.
