West Coast great Peter Sumich has heaped pressure on the Eagles to win the 2021 premiership, saying his former club “sold their soul” to bring home former Geelong star Tim Kelly.

Sumich labelled last season’s elimination final exit a significant underachievement after the Eagles gave up most of their 2019 national draft hand, and their 2020 first round pick, to secure the midfielder.

“I thought West Coast, if you want to put it this way, well I’ll put it this way: sold their soul a bit to get Kelly,” Sumich said.
