Getting Bali’s eVisa on arrival is straightforward through VFS Global’s dedicated site, indonesiavoa.vfsevisa.id.

It is a single-entry visa for a stay of up to 30 days, valid for 90 days, costs $69 (730,000 Indonesian rupiah), and can be delivered by email in 24 hours.

To apply, travellers need a passport, photo and return tickets — and the application can be tracked online.

VFS Global has been working with Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism since March 2023, aiming to strengthen and expand Indonesia’s tourism brand awareness.

And since 2024, VFS Global has also been an official partner of the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration.

VFS Global launched the e-VoA platform for those from 97 countries eligible for the visa as part of the partnership.

Kaushik Ghosh, head of VFS Global in Australasia, says: “Through the promotion of the e-VoA, we aim to make travel to Indonesia more seamless, aligning with the ministry’s Tourism 5.0 vision to harness innovation such as artificial intelligence to improve marketing effectiveness and reach of tourist destinations.”

Indonesia is expecting to welcome between 14.6 million and 16 million international visitors in 2025. In the first four months of 2025, Australians were the leading group of international tourists arriving in Bali.
