This beautiful image of the Taj Mahal was taken by Susan Moss. She writes... This image was taken in December 19 when I visited the Taj for the second time with some girlfriends.

It was amazing going back for the second time, it meant that I wasn't all overcome by actually being there, I was able to think more carefully of what I wanted to photograph. To me this really sums it all up as you first arrive and go through the arch and there she is in all her magnificent glory right in front of you. Visitors can pause for a few minutes before the next wave of people arrive and you have to move on.

My first time there we lined up at dawn and were first through the gate and then to run to the spot and get the shots without the people. That is good too but I feel perhaps this one has more meaning with the people in the scene.

One also has to be grateful that there was no smog or cloud, my brother visited just a couple of weeks later, stood in the same spot and the Taj was completely blocked out by the smog!

Can't wait to go back again next year.

This beautiful West Australian sunset was sent to us by Clive Nealon who writes... After a long day driving around the area looking for birds it was good to relax with a beer and a sunset.

Giza

Man, camel and pyramids - perfect ingredients for a nice picture. Fred Noteboom writes... This gentleman insisted I take his photo - I guess if every one earned him a dollar it would have been a good day’s work.
