WA’s top 10 house adverts: The best, worst and quirkiest properties on the market from Yallingup to Toodyay

They are the stuff of our lotto dreams and our investment desires. These are WA’s most viewed house adverts. Nearly a quarter of a million people have viewed the top 10 adverts on realestate.com in the year to April, which showcase beachside mansions, historic beauties as well as some of Perth’s cheapest and quirkiest homes. 1. With 31,682 views the home piquing the greatest interest is a stunning $8.85 million luxury home nestled in the exclusive coastal area of Yallingup. Sold through property agent Mack Hall, the 2023-built mansion has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two kitchen and two loungerooms. But with every room boasting views over the ocean, which can be viewed through 300sqm of floor-to-ceiling windows, it’s of little surprise that it has garnered such interest. 2. The biggest property on the list, this 10-bedroom former convent in Toodyay is set on 2210sqm of land overlooking the Avon River. The size alone was likely behind the Queen Anne Federation beauty’s 27,724 online views, but those with an interest in a property that comes with its own library and chapel have sadly missed out. It has now sold for only $656,600 through agent John Butler. 3. In third place was an architectural head turner in Circe Circle, Dalkeith, which got 27,102 online views. The three-level, five-bedroom home includes a home cinema, wine cellar and tasting room, gym, outdoor kitchen, heated pool and spa, two outdoor bathrooms and a lift. And it will only set you back $6.1 million through property agent Jody Fewster. 4. This Kelmscott property, has previously featured in The West Australian after it was described by real estate agent Ash Swarts as the worst-presented home he had listed. The listing joked that would-be buyers should bring a flashlight, a sense of humour and perhaps a Hazmat suit after the previous owner vacated suddenly, leaving his belongings inside. Illustrating the strength of Perth’s property market, it will still cost $550,000. 5. This stunning Dunsborough property known as Rockville — sold by a local family after five generations of ownership — came fifth with 23,456 views. But the picturesque beachfront property is no longer up for grabs. It sold — without an agent — for $7.5 million. 6. In sixth place was an ocean-front mansion in City Beach which got 22,952 views, selling for $11 million through agent Scott Swingler. 7. It was followed by a historic beauty in Peppermint Grove, previously featured in The West, which got 22,375, and is currently under offer through agent William Porteous. 8. Next in line was a home on the iconic Marine Terrace in Fremantle which got 21,430 views and is selling for $1.5m through agent Anthony Vergona. 9. Ninth place goes to one of Perth’s cheapest homes — a $275,000 two-bedroom park home in Caversham, selling through agent Kirrily Macri. It may be cheap, but as 20,809 people have likely discovered, there’s a catch. The new owner will also have to pay a $255 weekly rent, given it’s a park home. 10. Lastly, the home belonging to influencer Constance Hall came in 10th with 19,675 views, selling for $1.295m through agent Leann Jones. The six-bedroom boho nature retreat is nestled in the forest in Margaret River.
