Bindi Irwin ‘healing’ after burst appendix emergency and shocking discovery of more endometriosis lesions
Bindi Irwin has provided an emotional update after she was rushed to hospital in the US.
Earlier this month, the wildlife warrior was admitted to Lennox Hill Hospital with a ruptured appendix, a potentially life-threatening condition that requires emergency surgery.
The health emergency meant she had to miss the annual Steve Irwin Gala, leaving brother Robert to reveal the worrying development to explain her absence. Mum Terri also missed the gala to support Bindi.
During her hospital stay, 14 endometriosis lesions were discovered, and the surgeon also had to repair a hernia acquired during the birth of her daughter, Grace, four years ago.

Bindi, who first revealed she had been diagnosed with endometriosis in 2023, said she was “healing” after her latest hospital stay, thanking fans for their words of support and kindness.
“The reason I share my health journey is because more girls and women desperately need answers to their undiagnosed pain.
“I’ve battled with endometriosis for more than 12 years.
“This disease is crippling and can make you feel incredibly isolated. We need to raise awareness and change the narrative for women’s health.
“I see you, your pain is real, and you deserve answers and genuine health care.”
In an emotional tribute, Bindi’s husband, Chandler Powell, praised his wife’s resilience.
“I’ve said it many times already, but as time goes on I’m even more convinced that you are the strongest person I know,” he wrote on social media.
“Going through everything you have to get on top of your health as well as help others along the way is incredible. You are a warrior in every sense of the word. Grace and I are so grateful for you and everything you do.”
Brother Robert was also supportive, writing on his Instagram page, “Happy to see you on the up and up, Bindi. You face every hurdle head on, take it in your stride and inspire us.”
