ARIA Awards 2025: Live updates from huge Australian music awards celebrating best songs and artists in Sydney

The red carpet has been rolled out for Australian music’s night of nights, where the country’s best in the biz will be awarded for their incredible talent.
This year’s sold-out event is set to be a night that showcases the best homegrown music Australia has to offer, with a stellar line-up of performers and hosts coming together to make the ARIAs the biggest night of the year in Aussie music.
Nova FM presenter Tim Blackwell and Triple J’s Concetta Caristo are co-hosting the star-studded event taking place at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday evening.
Rounding out the 2025 hosting team will be Latifa Tee, with Georgie Tunny and Angela Bishop bringing all the style and highlights from the red carpet.
The artist with the most nominations is Ninajirachi, who is up for eight awards following the release of her debut album I Love My Computer.
She is up for nominations in major categories like Album of the Year, Best Solo Artist, Best Independent and Electronic Release.
Other artists up for big awards include Amyl and The Sniffers, Missy Higgins, Kylie Minogue, Rufus Du Sol, Dom Dolla, Paul Kelly, The Kid Laroi, Hilltop Hoods and Royel Otis.
Providing the entertainment for the night is British singing sensation Olivia Dean along with several Aussie artists such as G Flip, Keli Hoilday, Kita Alexander, Missy Higgins and Thelma Plum.

You Am I take the stage
To wrap up the jam-packed awards night, You Am I proved they can still tear it up after 30 years.
Tim Rogers is serenading the crowd with his voice while wearing a fashionable outfit consisting of a glitzy floral shirt and matching purple vest and pants.
He’s also just thrown his hat off and is now popping off on the electric guitar as the whole crowd is up on their feet standing.
The band are throwing all the energy they have after being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Rock legends honoured
Australian rock and roll luminaries You Am I have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Fronted by songwriter and guitarist, Tim Rogers, the band formed in December 1989 and are the first Australian band to have released three successive albums that have each debuted at number-one on the ARIA Albums Chart: Hi Fi Way, Hourly, Daily and #4 Record.
They have toured with the likes of Hoodoo Gurus, Oasis, Rolling Stones and Nirvana.
You Am I join Hall of Fame icons including Yothu Yindi, Kylie Minogue, John Farnham and last year’s inductee Missy Higgins.

The band got emotional on stage as each member accepted an award and gave a speech.

Troye Sivan couldn’t be at the event to accept his award but he sent in a video message from LA.
“It’s amazing, thank you so much. I’m sad I’m not there as it’s always a fun night,” he said.
“The Australian chunk of the tour was part of a crazy year of touring and I had the best time and memories playing in Australia.”
