Denmark’s Women in Business group get together to network and welcome Chamber of Commerce CEO Gillian Corker

The Denmark Women in Business group’s latest get-together served as a warm welcome for Chamber of Commerce chief executive Gillian Corker. Ms Corker has been in the post since May but the meal on Friday, June 27 at the Dam was her first opportunity to meet this particular women’s group over a networking dinner. The business group is organised by Bee Pope who is also heavily involved with the Denmark Community Resource Centre. “It was lovely to see new people along with people who see each other every couple of weeks,” she said. There are plenty of opportunities for the women to network as the CRC is also home to a regular co-working group. “We were able to have plenty of good conversations at the dinner and then continue them at the co-working sessions during the week,” Ms Pope said. “The idea is to have as many avenues to meet people as possible so we can cater for those who are available at different times.”
