Detectives are investigating after a luxury vehicle was stolen from a home in Perth’s south-east.

Police say two “unknown persons” stole an orange Holden (HSV) GTSR sedan after breaking into a garage on Kathleen Road, Lesmurdie, and about 4am on Sunday.

The HSV — with the WA registration “MYN2DAY” — is a “rare make and model”.

Police have released CCTV vision of two hooded thugs creeping through the garage, before removing the car’s protection blanket and driving it away.

At one point, one of the burglars appears to use an aerosol to spray something onto the CCTV camera, blurring the vision.

Person one has been described as having a slim build, wearing a dark-coloured hooded jumper with a full length zip, light-coloured long pants and dark gloves.

The other is also of slim build and was wearing a light-coloured hooded jumper, light-coloured long pants and a dark-coloured backpack.

The HSV was last seen travelling south bound along Tonkin Highway, near the intersection of Welshpool Road about 4.30am on Sunday.
