City of Greater Geraldton unveils new Ready GET Go playground for airport passengers and fun-seekers alike

Geraldton families now have a new spot for play dates with the launch of Ready GET Go — a colourful, three-tiered airport-themed playground that’s opened inside the Geraldton Airport terminal. Designed for children aged two to five, the indoor play space aims to enhance the passenger experience while also offering locals a unique all-weather play option. Mayor Jerry Clune said the playground was a fun and unexpected destination for families. “It might seem like an unlikely place for your next play date, but the Ready GET Go playground is the perfect place to bring the kids,” he said. “You don’t have to be flying or picking someone up — just bring the kids to watch the planes and enjoy a play while you treat yourself to coffee and a snack.” The initiative supports the City of Greater Geraldton’s goal of creating inviting public spaces and reflects the connected theme in its Strategic Community Plan. The playground is open seven days a week during terminal opening hours. The Airport Cafe opens with the first flight of the day until 1pm on weekdays and trades in line with flight schedules on weekends.
