Agent adds to her success

Hedland First National’s Danielle Mariu has been recognised for her outstanding results in the WA property market, having recently been crowned the most recommended buyers’ agent in WA.

The RateMyAgent awards compare more than 26,000 agents and agencies in Australia and highlight the leading real estate agents and agencies.

She also won the 2018 agent of the year award for Port and South Hedland suburbs and Hedland as the whole region.

The achievement places her in the top 7 per cent of all agents in Australia. Born and raised in Hedland, Ms Mariu has used her extensive knowledge of the community to help buyers and sellers achieve their goals.

“The reason I do what I do is because I can assist people,” she said. “If I can walk them through this process and try to exit one of the toughest markets in Australia and do it in a way where the owners aren’t stressing out, that’s what makes me do what I do.

“ I love real estate — it’s my calling.”

She said the win was a testament to the hard work the Hedland First National team had put in to ensure clients were getting the right outcome.

“It’s pretty humbling to see that people go out of their way to take the time, sit down and write a review,” she said.

She said her journey as a real estate agent, which began in 2013, had been tough and rewarding.

“The market has corrected 65-70 per cent between when I started to work to where it is today,” she said. “I invest a lot of money into travelling all over Australia to make sure I’m constantly learning and being able to offer services to the Pilbara that you would expect from all the high-performing markets.”

RateMyAgent chief executive and co-founder Mark Armstrong said the number of recommendations an agent or agency had, relative to the number of properties sold, was the key to winning the awards.
