Art After Dark: Artist Battle, Port Hedland Courthouse Gallery, Thursday, October 26, 5.30pm-8pm, free. Visit courthousegallery.com.au.

The Port Hedland Courthouse Gallery’s Art After Dark series continues tomorrow night with the Artist Battle.

A selection of Hedland Art Award artists will put their creative skills to the test when they have 30 minutes to create a piece of art on canvas.

Audiences will then vote to choose a winner.

The artist battles have been a popular event at the gallery for the past two years, with more than 50 people attending the 2016 battle between Eric Mitchell, Howie Holder, Michelle Siciliano, Shellie Blatch, David Hooper and Elricardo Phantasimo.

The Courthouse Gallery has several fun, creative events and activities taking place throughout November as part of the Hedland Art Awards public program, including art workshops and seminars.
