Twelve Pilbara real estate agents have been acknowledged for their achievements over the past 12 months at the 2017 reiwa.com Awards.

The awards brought together more than 700 agents from across the State in Perth to recognise the achievements of WA’s leading real estate professionals in the 2016-17 financial year.

One of the Pilbara’s highest achievers was Hedland First National senior sales consultant Rick Hockey.

Mr Hockey was named the No.1 salesperson in WA and the only North West agent to be named a master salesperson, and listed third as top unassisted salesperson by listings sold.

“I love what I do and have a passion for it,” Mr Hockey said.

“It gives me a real buzz to see our locals buying their own property and making Hedland home.

“Helping sellers get out of a stressful situation and have peace of mind is really gratifying, so I guess helping clients achieve their dreams gives me a great sense of achievement every day.”

Karratha First National senior sales consultant Rachel Ross made the list in five categories, including top salesperson by listings sold, top assisted salesperson by listings sold, and top assisted salesperson by value sold.

Other Pilbara agents who were recognised at the awards were Anna Guillesser, Richard Naulls, Brent Rudler, Brett Philp, Danielle Mariu, Alexander Waters, Coral Howe, Rob Sleator Michelle Grimes and Monique Anlezark.

Real Estate Institute of WA chief executive Neville Pozzi said WA had some of the best and brightest real estate professionals in the country.

“These awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication these agents give to their clients and community on a daily basis,” he said.

“It’s no secret the WA property market has slowed in recent times, which has certainly presented some hurdles for the industry. I’m delighted to see so many REIWA agents continuing to excel in their profession despite challenging market conditions.”
