Pilbara organisations receive State Government grants for Youth Week celebrations

Pilbara community groups and shires have been given a boost to their Youth Week celebrations after receiving Youth Week WA 2022 grants.
Youth Week WA runs from April 8-16 and is an annual celebration of the positive contributions people aged 10 to 25 years make to the community.
The Tom Price Youth Support Association was announced as a recipient of the grant on March 30 to run its Carnival Day, which would consist of a range of activities including ‘minute to win it’ style games, sack races, egg and spoon obstacle course, and face painting.
The Shire of East Pilbara also received a grant for its Newman Youth Celebration Night as did the Youth Involvement Council for the Hedland Youth Awards
Grants of up to $1500 for eligible organisations and funds of up to $3,000 were available for collaborative, community-wide events.
Youth Minister Dave Kelly said these activities provide young people in local communities across the State with opportunities to be key contributors in the planning, development and delivery of Youth Week WA events and projects.
