A trio of Karratha businesses have rallied together to raise money for those devastated by the bushfires in the Eastern States.

In its month-long fundraiser, Blanche Bar raised a total of $25,640, which was donated to the Karratha Bushfire Concert Appeal.

Of that amount, Karratha Earth Moving and KAW Engineering each donated over $10,000 in a bid to double down on the funds raised at Blanche.

Blanche Bar owner Bart Parsons said he was grateful the three businesses had worked together.

“It’s really amazing for two companies that helped out a lot with the cyclone as well, who would probably be set back by the cyclone financially, so it’s great they’re coming on board and doing that,” he said.

Mr Parsons said he was shocked they raised such a big amount and he felt the cause had been forgotten slightly with the news about the coronavirus.

“It definitely wasn’t expected,” he said.

“We were aiming around the $15,000-$17,000 mark, so we definitely had great support from the local community.”
