Friends of Kings Park tour

The Friends of Kings Park has an exclusive tour to the Singapore Garden Festival in July 2026.

The four-night tour, from July 7 to 11, 2026, begins with a visit to the biennial Singapore Garden Festival, held at Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay. There will be a tour of gardens.

The group will also visit Singapore Botanic Garden, which was founded in 1869, HortPark, the Spice Garden and National Orchid Garden.

Former Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority botanic garden director Sue McDougall is donating her time to guide the tour.

The tour will raise funds for Perth’s Kings Park and Botanic Gardens.

It is $2450 per person, twin share, not including airfares. Bookings are through Travelrite. Travelrite.com.au or 1800 630 343.

Singapore Garden Festival

The biennial Singapore Garden Festival draws together top garden designers, landscapers, florists and horticulturists from around the world.

They team up with Singapore’s own talented horticulturists to produce their displays.

The 10th edition of the festival is from July 4 to 12, 2026, at Gardens by the Bay.

Floral Windows to the World

A highlight of the Singapore Garden Festival since the first in 2006, Floral Windows to the World is a showcase for cut-flower displays.

It brings a competitive element to the festival and 18 international competitors, each representing different countries, will line up in a three-stage competition next year.

There are heats, semi-finals, and a grand final, in which the top five compete.
