The stars from the hottest shows on TV took to the blue carpet in a showcase of glamorous, unique and trendy fashion looks for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards in downtown Los Angeles.

Fashion trends from this year’s special occasion included minimalist looks, feminine shades of baby pink and blue, sleek dresses, classic black tuxedos and glittering gowns.

Meanwhile, comedian and actress Megan Stalter, best known for her breakout role as the chaotic assistant Kayla in Hacks, came dressed as an Emmy trophy, covering her whole body in gold paint.

It wouldn’t be a night in Hollywood without a pop of colour, with Your Friends & Neighbours star Eunice Bae opting for a vintage yellow feathered dress, Marian Wang glowing in a sunset orange gown and Tiffany Haddish standing out in lime green.

Also choosing feathers to add texture to their looks were Nicole Kidman, Allison Janney and Julianne Hough, while Denee Benton and Aimee Carrero decided to show a bit of skin in revealing black sets.

Love Story’s Sarah Pidgeon, Jessica Williams and Florence Pugh stunned in lavender ensembles, with the latter’s dress an apparent nod to Disney’s Tangled of which she is rumoured to be playing Rapunzel for the live action remake.

Zendaya rocked her pixie hair cut while looking incredible in a bedazzled, figure-hugging silver gown put together by her stylist Law Roach, who looked equally as dazzling in a bold outfit.
