Improvements are set to be made to the taxi rank on Wise Terrace, with the Town of Port Hedland planning to sustain usability and safety for the community.

Works started on Monday to relocate the public bus stop bayto ensure it is no longer located in the designated taxi zone.

The bus stop will be moved 40m further along Wise Terrace, to minimise hazards and address issues causing sunken pavers.

A Town spokesman said the local government appreciated the public’s patience over the project.

“Please be advised that caution will be taken by the Town of Port Hedland and Contractors to minimise the works and impact to the public,” he said.
