Nexus Airlines has discounted flights to one of Broome’s biggest events of the year.

The airline is offering 25 per cent off all return airfares from Karratha and Port Hedland to Broome for travel between February 18 and March 4, for Broome Mardi Gras 2026.

The February 19 to March 2 festival is being delivered by Broome Pride Inc. and will feature international artists, nationally recognised drag performers and strong local talent.

The Roebuck Bay Hotel will transform into a three-stage festival precinct capable of housing up to 2800 people.

International dance acts Freemasons (UK), featuring Russell Small with live vocals by Katherine Ellis, will headline the Mardi Gras Dance Party, alongside Paul Morrell of Ministry of Sound — a rare appearance of globally recognised dance artists in regional WA.

National drag performer Isis Loren, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, will also appear across festival events.

Alongside international and national acts, Broome Pride’s Cabaret program will showcase local and regional performers, celebrating Kimberley talent and creative expression.

Broome Pride co-chair and Roebuck Bay Hotel general manager Tamara Burchell said the festival was about more than entertainment.

“Wet season is traditionally our quietest time, so creating an event of this scale has a real impact for Broome,” she said.

“It fills accommodation, supports local suppliers, creates jobs and shows what’s possible for regional towns.”

The festival celebrates love, diversity and equality across the North West.

“Local performers are the heart of this festival,” Ms Burchell said.

“Pride in Broome is about visibility, inclusion and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.

“Get excited and get to Broome.”
